Is there a photographer at the venue?

Yes, Tempest Photographers will be at the University during Graduation located in the Lecture Theatre Building (LTB).

Do I need to book in advance?

No, you are not required to book a time, or to place an order in advance, which is a significant advantage as it provides you with much more freedom on the day to choose when to have your photographs taken.  You can view the full range of products available on the Tempest Photography website or contact Tempest Photography directly on Tel: 01736 752411 (International: +44 1736 752411)

What will I receive on the day?

You will receive a proof of the photographs taken on the day. You can then choose what to order immediately, or place an order after Graduation using the Tempest Photography website or by post.

When should we go to have our photographs taken?

It is recommended that you have your photograph taken before the ceremony and reception, however, the photographers are available in the Lecture Theatre Building all day and as you do not need to book in advance you can visit them at a time that is convenient to you.

Photographs of your presentation to the Chancellor

A photograph will be taken of you during the ceremony when you are presented to the Chancellor.  This will be available to purchase following the ceremony if you wish to do so. 

Friendship Photographs

If you would like to have some informal photographs taken with your friends, Tempest Photography are providing this service in the Lecture Theatre Building Foyer.  You do not need to book, but can go along at any time to have some photographs taken. 

Can guests take photographs during the ceremony?

Yes, but no video recording equipment is permitted in the ceremony. You will be asked by a steward to turn off your recording equipment, if this is taken into the ceremony.  The ceremonies are professionally filmed and a DVD will be available to purchase following the ceremony.  For more information please see information about Graduation DVDs.
