Graduation Activities

Square 3

The Students' Union invites you to celebrate graduation on Square 3. Enjoy a vibrant mix of live entertainment and great tasting food and drinks.

The Anglican Chaplaincy will have an area for reflection, offering space to say a prayer, personal thank you and farewells with friends and family as you celebrate graduation.

Square 4

Providing entertainment throughout the day is the Brendan Dowse quartet playing a range of jazz music.

You can also pick up a range of official souvenirs from your time at University, including Essex hoodies and t-shirts and memorabilia. Don't forget to pick up your copy of your graduation ceremony on DVD or visit the photography stand selling photos of the graduation ceremony.

Square 5

All graduates can collect their award certificate from the collection desk on Square 5. In addition, make sure you go along to the Alumni Relations stall. Students are automatically members of the University's alumni community upon graduation. Staff will be handing out welcome packs and copies of the magazine for Essex alumni, Essex:Effect. The Alumni Relations stall also has copies of the Yearbook for collection as well as a selection of officially branded gifts, including pens, key-rings and scarves. Information is also available here on postgraduate study at the University and the Careers Centre is available for help and guidance on your future career path.
