Where will my name appear as a Graduate of the University?

Your name will appear in the Graduation programme. Each graduate and guest receives a copy of the programme at the time of your ceremony. Your name will also appear on the Graduation T-Shirt for 2012, provided by GradGear.

What if I don’t want my name to appear?

If you do not want your name to appear in the Graduation programme or on the T Shirt, please contact the Graduation Office by Thursday 5 July 2012, in advance of printing.

Do you stand out from the crowd?

Do you have an interesting story to tell about your Graduation and/or time spent studying at Essex? Perhaps you are graduating with your sister or brother, or maybe one of your parents is also an Essex graduate?

Local newspapers and radio and television stations will be keen to cover graduation stories that make a student stand out from the crowd. In recent years, the local media has covered two brothers who took home identical qualifications, a married couple who graduated together, twins who graduated in the same year, a mother and son who graduated in the same year and a student from an Essex school who had achieved firsts across the board.

If you think the media in Colchester and/or your home town might be interested in your story, please contact the University's Communications Office, e-mail comms@essex.ac.uk in advance of collecting your degree.
