How do I get to the University?

Travel and location information

Guests may park free of charge in the University car parks.  The Pay and Display parking charges normally in operation will be suspended for Graduation.

Where can my guests park?

This map shows how to find the Colchester campus.  When you arrive you will be directed to a parking space.

Are there disabled parking facilities?

The University of Essex campus and buildings are better suited to physical access than most. For those with mobility problems, almost every part of the University can be reached by flat access, lift or ramp. Where can I find out other information on the day?

Information desks will be situated in Square 4 and at the Lecture Theatre Building (LTB).

Where is the ceremony held?

Your ceremony will be held in the Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall.  More information about the ceremony.

Is there somewhere I can leave my coat and belongings while I am in the ceremony?

There will be a staffed cloakroom on the ground level of the Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall.

Where will the live screening of the ceremony be held?

The Graduation ceremony will be screened live in the Lecture Theatre Building (LTB 9 & 10) for guests without tickets to attend the ceremony.  The service is free of charge and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Will the ceremony be recorded?

Yes, please note all ceremonies are filmed and recordings are produced for sale. 

The company who film the ceremonies are Visions Unlimited.  If you wish to purchase a DVD you can do so on the day of the ceremony or by placing an advance order.
