The Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Centre at the Colchester campus has two worship areas which are open for use by all members of the University who wish to pray, meditate or spend some time in quiet reflection. Chaplains and Religious Representatives have been designated for the following:
Anglican, Catholic and Orthodox services are held in the Centre and Chinese Christian Fellowship, Quakers and Sikhs normally arrange weekly meetings. The Islamic Society has daily prayer meetings and a community gathering for all Muslims every Friday in the Centre, which also has rooms for ritual ablutions before worship. There is a Buddhist Vihara and a Jewish Synagogue in Colchester, a Hindu Centre in nearby Clacton and a Sikh Gurdwara in Ipswich. There is also a Multi-Faith provision at the Southend campus including facilities for prayer or quiet reflection.
