When you cease to be a member of the University, you should be aware of the following two important consequences:
From that day, you will no longer be able to log on to University computers or to receive email through University email servers. You will therefore need to make alternative arrangements for email and you will have to take copies of any files that you want to keep after you have left the University.
For most students of the University, the only way you can access any exam results is online via the web form at http://www.essex.ac.uk/results.
Students who access their exam results in this way are :
- all undergraduates
- all full-time taught postgraduates
If you are one of these students, then in order to ensure that you can access your exam results online after your University account has been terminated you must supply us with a non-Essex email address and a passphrase before your account is terminated. You can do this by using the web form at https://www.essex.ac.uk/onlineupdate/.
Please note that if you choose to view any exam results before your University computing account expires using the web page at http://www.essex.ac.uk/results, you will be prompted to provide this information anyway.
If you fail to provide us with the required information before your University computing account expires, you will not be able to access your exam results. It is therefore vital that you take time to do this now. Updating any other details will also help the University stay in contact with you in the future. If you have already updated your details and provided a passphrase in this way, you need not do so again.
