If you wish to read your email from off-campus, this can be done using Outlook Web Access
If, however, you you have other reasons for wishing to arrange for forwarding of new emails to another address, perhaps to make use of the greater email quotas typically offered by external email services, then use the email forwarding form.
Note:
this will not forward any existing email in your mailbox to the new location. You will need to do this manually if you require it.
no copies of any new mail are kept at Essex. Should you wish a copy of the new mail kept at Essex, you should use the Outlook Rules Wizard.
NB ISS neither recommends you use an external mail service, nor recommends you do not: there are pros and cons to both choices, and the choice is yours. However, if you do choose to have your Essex email forwarded to an external service, then ISS's responsibility for the email ceases as soon as the external service accepts it from us. If it fails to reach your mailbox, or is subsequently lost, there is nothing ISS can do about it.
