MatLab Error Fix - for MatLab Users

If you're are running a copy of MatLab locally installed on your machine, you may get an error of the following form:

To fix this edit the file:

C:\MATLAB6p5p1\bin\win32\license.dat
(If the name in the error box on your machine differs from the above the file to edit is that shown in the error box on your machine.)

In this file change the line:

SERVER serlinux12.essex.ac.uk 00065b1a2423 27000

to read:

SERVER serlx12.essex.ac.uk 00065b1a2423 27000

Note if the file dose not contain this exact line change all references of serlinux12 to serlx12 leaving the rest of the line unchanged.
