Configuring your wireless for eduroam access on Mac OSX Leopard.

1. Turn AirPort on

turn airport on

2. Select 'Join Other Network...' from the network menu

choose eduroam

3. For the 'Network Name', enter eduroam.

4. From the Security drop-down list, select WPA2 Enterprise and then fill in the other details as below (remembering to replace mylogin with your University login name). Click Join.

5. You now need to wait until you see the following dialog box. This may take a couple of minutes to appear. It is sometimes possible to make this appear quicker by selecting eduroam from the networks menu again.

6. Click on Show Certificate and check that the following screen appears and that the certificate for jrsrad.essex.ac.uk is shown as valid. If it isn't, do not proceed and contact the Computing Service Helpdesk. If the certificate is valid, click on Always trust "jrsrad.essex.ac.uk" and Continue.

7. You will now be prompted to enter your mac username and password to update the mac certificate settings. This is not your University username and password.

Eduroam should now be active and will have a tick against it in the AirPort menu.
