Configuring your wireless for eduroam access on Windows XP (SP3)

 

 First, right-click on the wireless networks tray icon and 'View available wireless networks'.

Click 'Change advanced settings'.

 

Select the 'Wireless Networks' tab.

Click 'Add...' button.

Fill in 'Association' tab as below.

Fill in 'Authentication' tab as below and click on 'Properties'.

Fill in 'Protected EAP Properties' as below and then click on 'Configure'.

Fill in 'EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties' as below, then click OK

Click OK two more times to finalise all dialog boxes that are open. Wait a short while until you see the 'Wireless Network Connection' pop-up at the bottom of the screen. Click on this.

Enter your current University login and password as shown. If connecting from another University, use the appropriate domain after the '@' instead of '@essex.ac.uk'. Leave the 'Logon domain:' field blank.

You should now be connected to the eduroam service.
