Examples of WIMOVAC in Action

WIMOVAC is a general model of vegetation photosynthesis and related models applicable with suitable parameterisation to most plant types. However working with research partners the WIMOVAC system has now been developed for use with a number of specific plant types and ecosystems:

Papyrus (Cyperus papyrus L.) a C4 sedge which forms highly productive monotypic stands over large areas of wetland in Africa.
Grassland systems in Kenya, Brazil, Mexico and China
Ozone effects in wheat
Growth and productivity of sorghum
Isoprene/CO2/O3 interactions

These specialised routines are either available in modules within the regular version of WIMOVAC or as in the case of papyrus and sorghum a seperate version of the WIMOVAC disks is available from the authors.
